Jackson's Birthday Invitation

So it’s that time of year again. Jackson’s 5th birthday is fast approaching (I can’t believe he is going to be 5!!!) and I need to start planning the party. Usually we throw a party at the house which involves me cooking and cleaning for 3 days and is completely exhausting. This year we decided to do something a little different. We are going to have the party at Luigi’s (it’s like a Chuck E Cheese.) I don’t know who is more excited me or Jackson!! :)

I did still promise him he could do a “Star Wars” theme since he has been talking about it since last August. I got the invitations done and they are pretty hilarious. He dressed up in his Anakin Skywalker costume from Halloween and gave me his best “Jedi” poses.

He is pretty proud of his “Master Jedi” status.

July 4th weekend.

My first blog post!!  I needed a place to post pictures and keep track of all of the funny stuff the boys do so here we go.

We headed home to Michigan for the 4th of July like we do every year.  The boys really look forward to it.  Really they look forward to the bags of candy they receive at the parade and the wave runners at Uncle Bob's lake house.  So you can imagine the fear when we found out that not only was the pool going to be closed at the condo but that Uncle Bob sold the wave runners....I was not looking forward to telling Jackson.  He actually took it very well and when they found out they couldn't drive the wave runners they moved on to bigger and better things - they decided they would be driving the boat instead.
