And in related news Carter has been sequestered to the naughty spot for the better part of a week now. With no signs of reprieve, he might as well bring his blankey and Jack the bear down now and save himself the trouble of even going up to bed because odds are he will be returning to the spot first thing in the morning.
His favorite new phrases are "I know all your twicks Mommy" followed by my all time favorite "Wach you talkin bout Mommy?" (no those aren't typos - that is actually the way he says it...charming isn't it?
How can someone with such an angelic face be so... evil? He's just lucky he is cute!! ; 0)

Waiting for the Tooth Fairy...
Its official.... I have a big kid. I knew this day would come but that doesn't make it any easier. What is the big life event in Jackson's life that has made me come to this realization you ask - well he lost his 1st tooth today!! How can this be happening already? I'm sure that staying out late, girls and college are right around the corner.! I'm soooo not ready for this. The tooth has been loose for about 2 weeks so I knew this was coming, but I am choosing to remain in denial.
He is so proud. He lost the tooth on the way to lunch and as soon as we got to the restaurant he stopped everyone who would listen to tell (and show) them the hole where his baby tooth once was. Ironically enough the first people we happened upon were 2 bikers who Carter admonished for not wearing their helmets but they were still polite enough to fein interest in my child's big news!
My Big Kid.
I choose to think of him like this - even though I know that he is growing up.

A week of firsts continued...
It has been quite a week at our house. It's been a week full of moments that make all the chaos and confusion worth it. My big kid learned how to ride a bike without training wheels this weekend.

"So I think Jack can Dance"
I swear we have had a birthday party every weekend for the last 3 weeks - and we have at least one every weekend for the rest of the summer. There have been various themes and gimmicks. We have gone to a bowling party, a bounce house party, a water park party and of course Jackson's video game party at Luigi's is next week. How can it be that every child we know was born between Memorial Day and Labor Day??
I thought I would share a clip from the bowling party. Jackson loved it - and like most things Carter could take it or leave it. It was a cute party though. They had music and a "host" which was a college age girl that kept the game moving and served them pizza. She also led them in little dances. Now not to brag or anything but I must say my kid has rhythm. I am attempting to upload the video so you can all see for yourselves why I think Jackson will definitely end up on "So you think you can Dance" one day. But until I figure out how that works just contemplate the last time you saw a 4 year old perform the Cha Cha Slide with the accuracy of a ballroom dancer.... yea i wouldn't have believed it either if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.
ETA: And by popular demand - I give you Cha Cha Jackson... :)
